1/6th Puma Sd Kfz 234/2
With 8 wheel drive, with 8 wheel steering, the Puma was a heavy reconnaissance armoured vehicle with a 50 mm gun. The Puma is fitted with a turret mounting a 50 mm kwk 39 1 l 60 cannon protected by a saukopf snout shaped shield originally designed for the reconnaissance light tank Leopard. Although a modest 50 mm calibre the kwk 39 1 l 60 gun was very potent thanks to its semi automatic operating process and 823 m sec muzzle velocity. The ubiquitous mg 34 coaxial machine gun a telescopic aiming device and a pair of three smoke generators fitted onto the sides of the turret made up the rest of the fighting equipment. Radio telephones and a fu12 were the communications means of the Puma, a four men crewed vehicle, this is undoubtedly the most famous 8 wheeler and of all the reconnaissance vehicle German armoured cars.

Our 1/6th Model, faithfully reproduces this, with fully functioning 8 wheel drive with 8 wheel steering. It will go just about anywhere a Tank will go, speed is 5 mph, weight 40kgs fully loaded. Having a very complex running gear, with single 250w 12v motor, with worm drive to each of the 4 fully independent axles the price is similar to a Tiger 1. Driving it is similar to a RC car!

Produces a puff of smoke on start up, which decreasing to nothing on tickover. As you drive the tank, the smoke increases gradually with the amount of throttle you use.
