Alternative speed controller and sound functions
We can offer an alternative if required to our standard Triple speed controller with sound units. Due to demand we can replace the standard triple ESC sound unit with the following options. This will only apply to any model running on 24v as standard or an option, details below. The Following Tanks we run as standard on 24v:
All ¼ Tanks
1/6th, Challenger 2, Leopard 2, Comet and T34.
As an option the following in 1/6th can be run on 24v:
- Tiger
- King tiger
- Jagdtiger
- Panther
- Jagdpanther
- JS2
- JS152
- Elephant
- Maus
Please note all these models running on 12v systems are more than adequate as they are, with plenty of power and excellent run times. The 24 v option is purely a personal touch, but does make a smoother runner, and much more power than required. The price is generally GB£300 to GB£400 a model more expensive [ not including 7 channel RC ], including fitting, exact price is POA. Also, you will loose the main gun and Tank recoil option, but can be simulated with a 7 Ch RC.
The 24v option requires:
- 2 x 4QD ESCs
- 1 x RC interface
- 1 x Benidini sound module
- 1 x amp
- 2 x 12v batteries
- 1 x 12v Gun elevation ESC.
Options are:

7 channel RC [ 2.4 or 40mg ]
We will only offer this using 24v on 4 QD speed controllers due to there sympathetic control of the Tanks, as of yet, there are in my opinion, no suitable 12v ESC apart from our Triple ESC sound unit, that are suitable. All top speed of the Tanks is increased, but limited to full potential using the 4QD’s. Any un authorised increase in speed is not warranted.
It’s a personal choice, all prices are POA. All ¼ Tigers, come with 24v 4qd/ Benidini system as standard.
